Prague.

After everyone in Italy made us believe that our trip would not be complete without having visited Berlin or Prague, we finagled a way here. Now, if you’ve noticed our route, it is quite nontraditional. This is due to the fact that Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria were having some extreme flooding issues. The family wasn’t having it so Berlin, Prague and Munich were initally cut from the trip. After our Delaware boys reassured us it was safe, we altered our itinerary – again. (While it was great as a tourist to come in and out of this area, the locals have truly been devastated.)

Of course we did the typical touristy things like visit the Prague Castle, and the Charles Bridge, but many of our memories were created at night.

One night we decided to go Prague’s infamous five story club (Karlovy Lazne) that boasts a different theme on every floor. Now, while we made it a point to visit every floor, the ‘hip-hop’ floor is where the party was clearly poppin. We soon made friends with this bachelor party whose potential groom was decked out in a full leopard suit. They were an amazing group of guys from Belgium who were all very successful, whose taken ones tried to play match maker with the remaining bachelors of the group (haha and let me say Sarah and I did not mind as they were all either chemists, architects, lawyers, entrepreneurs or in med school). We had so much fun we didn’t notice that we were there until 5:30am – when it closed at 5! Too bad we missed the sunrise as it was already bright and shining. So weird how early the sun rises and sets there. *

The next night we ran into some friends of ours. My bestie from my General Mills internship and a friend from MLT were traveling together. It was great wandering with other people and we enjoyed one of my favorite pastimes – eating! We had these amazing crepes from this lady who knew Sarah and I by face as we were there everyday without fail of our stay in Prague.

Haha I always find it a bit sad when people know you by name/face from eating, but I always say what is life if you’re not doing what you’re enjoying?!
